On April 2nd, 2022, I touched down in Istanbul, Turkey, excited to meet friends in person that I had only had relationships with online — one of whom drove all the way out to Istanbul Airport to pick me up.

Istanbul is an impressive city and remains one of my favourite travel destinations to this day.
The Mosques
Known for its mosques steeped in both Christian and Islamic history, Hagia Sophia, Sultan Ahmed (most commonly known as The Blue Mosque), and Süleymaniye are perhaps the most visited mosques in the city.
