Little by little, it dawned on me that it is not possible to make everyone happy at the same time. So I decided to make myself happy and content and made up my mind to move to another country (BTW, I am from India). But which country? The first thought came to mind. I had two answers: while my heart said Canada, my brain said Dubai. And finally, the brain won. Yes, Dubai took the cake, not because I didn’t want to go to Canada. To me, it was a pipe dream which required tons of effort, money, and good luck at the same time. And unfortunately, I couldn’t provide any of them. Getting Canada PR was no easy pie when I took stock of everything I had to offer to qualify for CRS. Everyone has their own reasons to go to Dubai, rightfully so. But mine was to spend the rest of my life in a clean, beautiful, and safe country. To top it all, majestic blue beaches, magical skylines, and law-fearing people. The tax-free salary was all the more reason why I chose DXB to settle down! No intentions to get up the nose of my patriotic fellows. But it is what it is.
