week 32 | MA Data Visualisation

I have been revisiting Laurie Anderson’s All the Things I Lost in the Flood and John Cage's A Mycological Foray. I have found both these books to be inspiring reference points and help me to step out of my project, and consider new layouts, and the ‘experience of my outcome.’

I set up my mushroom experiment this week, and have started to see some mycelium growing on the cardboard and tea bags. At the moment I am recording using pictures, but am looking into if I can record sound data for this.

I have been doing some research into examples of ‘non-human’ and interactive drawing machines. I am considering how I can implement these ideas in my project to communicate themes of uncertainty, seen to unseen, and scale.
