11 Really Easy Smartphone Hacks For People With Autism/ADHD

We live in a digital age, and many of us are addicted to our smartphones, but there is a lack of education and awareness on how to make your phone accessible for your autistic and/or ADHD needs. It wasn’t until I learnt that I’m Autistic with ADHD, that I started to research accessibility hacks.

Many neurodivergent people struggle with executive dysfunction, and it's essential to learn how to use your smartphone in a way that benefits you rather than as a means of procrastination and distraction from daily tasks.

Although ‘alarms’ sounds like obvious advice, they can help neurodivergent people to remember forgotten tasks and can remind you to move on to the next item on your to-do list. I use an alarm to remind me to eat three meals, as I often become hyperfocused on a task that I forget to eat!
